My Momma makes the best pancakes…my kids always ask me to make “Honey’s Pancakes”. The best part is that there are only 4 ingredients…FOUR! And chances are, you’ve got all 4 in your house right now. Do yourself and your family a favor and make Honey’s Pancakes very soon. You’ll love them…and then you’ll love Honey! But you would love Honey even without the Pancakes…she’s pretty dadgum fantastic.
Honey’s Pancakes – (this makes about 8 pancakes, so feel free to double it if you want more, which you will)
Ingredients:
1 overflowing cup of self-rising flour
1 egg
1 cup of milk
2 TBSP of melted butter (this is what I think makes them so good)
Directions:
Combine all ingredients and cook on a griddle or stovetop until golden brown on both sides and cooked through in the middle. *TIP* You know the Pancakes are ready to be flipped when the side facing up starts to bubble.
I always serve ours with more melted butter and warm Aunt Jemima Light Syrup…because that’s how I always ate them as a kid. Feel free to eat yours however you want!
